Sake is a Japanese rice wine that is extremely difficult to produce. While standard sakes already require much effort and time as well as high quality ingredients, Ty-Ku Sake Black is labelled "Junmai Ginjo" - a grade only less than 10% of sakes achieve.
The clear, bright Ty-Ku Sake Black uses all natural ingredients and boasts nice, pleasant floral notes. On the palate, this premium drink has delicate notes reminiscent of pear or lychee. Its taste is very mild, slightly fruity and spicy.
Contrary to popular belief, there is no need to heat a premium sake like this one. This outdated guideline only applys to inferior sakes that are indeed improved by heating. In the case of Ty-Ku, the quality sake is best served either at room temperature or slightly chilled.
