Ghost Grale is the official beer of the Swedish metal band Ghost. The Scotch Ale style beer is a heavy, big-flavoured brew at 6.6% abv, which is based on six different malts including wiener and pilsener malt. There are also four different hop styles used in the brewing process: El Dorado, Citra, Magnum Fuggles, and Amarillo. It's brewed by the Nils Oscar Brewery in Nyköping, Sweden, which is the country's largest craft brewery and has gained an international reputation for its Swedish lagers.
Ghost Grale is sold in a limited run. It has flavours of roasted nuts and sweet fruits with hints of hops and a dry finish. The ale has a full body with low to medium carbonation and a somewhat zingy taste. A great success as both a beer and as a collector's item, it can be hard to find.
